British Inter counties cross country championships in Nottingham

Well done to Alfie, Ciara, Eira, and Ella representing North Wales at the British Inter counties cross country championships in Nottingham yesterday. The ground was firmer than many of the courses this winter but with around 100m of ascent and each race stacked with 300 competitors featuring the best of the best from across Britain it was possibly the most gruelling challenge they had all faced this year!
Alfie (U15) - 4km - 14.13 - 1st North Wales athlete across the line and 2nd Welsh athlete to finish
Eira (U15) - 4km - 16.53 - 2nd North Wales athlete across the line and 6th Welsh athlete to finish
Ciara (U17) - 5km - 20.10 - 2nd North Wales athlete across the line and 3rd Welsh athlete to finish
Ella (U20) - 6km - 25.02 - 2nd North Wales athlete across the line and 4th Welsh athlete to finish
Well done to you all. It was a tough, nerve wracking race but you all put in superb efforts. Get well wishes to Finley who was also selected for the U13 boys team but a nasty virus in the days leading up to the race meant he made the sensible decision to withdraw. Great to have been selected though Finn, the hard work is paying off and you will have plenty of opportunity ahead
