Cross Country Season registration

Whoop, September is here, the leaves are turning autumny,
school has restarted and the nights are drawing in…..it can only mean one thing! CROSS COUNTRY SEASON IS APPROACHING! Colwyn Bay AC will be entering junior and senior teams into the North Wales league, with the first fixture due to take place in St Asaph on the 3rd October followed by the second fixture on home turf at Eirias on the 31st October. This cost of entry for these events for each athlete will be covered by the club
. There are races for most ages all the way through from age 8 to 80 (and beyond!). All you have to do is let us know you wish to compete and make sure your club membership is up to date

*We do need to register athletes for the first race by the 26th September. An invite will be going out on Spond, if you click ‘attend’ on this invite, we will register you

Juniors run in the morning from 10.30am with the following age groups run in this order;
U16 - school years 9 & 10
U14 - school years 7 & 8
U12 - school years 5 & 6
U10 - school years 4 & 5 (min age 8 on day of race)
U18 (school years 11 & 12) and seniors run in the afternoon from 1pm.
Cross country is a great opportunity for all abilities, a fun way to build strength and resilience and provides opportunities for team and individual medals and trophies as all races count towards league points.
If any parents enjoy running and would like to take part, please let us know, the senior races are a great opportunity with over 100 participants of all abilities taking part in each of the ladies and men’s races.
