Junior Welsh Championships Cardiff Results

Yet another cracking weekend of action for three of our athletes at the junior Welsh Championships this weekend in Cardiff with Jacob, Kane and Callum all battling for championship medals.
Congrats to Jacob who came away with another gold for long jump in the u20 age group with a massive jump of 6.56m - Welsh champ plus a new indoor club record. Jacob also competed in the 60m finishing 10th and just 0.03s off his PB. Well done Jacob

.Kane ran in the u20’s 200m and 400m. Finishing 6th in the heats in the 400m in a time of 52.91, he just missed out on the finals. In the 200m, he ran 23.56 in the heats taking him to finals where he bagged a welsh championship bronze with a time of 23.98. Callum ran superbly in the u17 200m heats on Saturday, qualifying for the semifinals in a time of 23.70. In the semi’s, he ran an absolute blistering 23.12secs - a new club record for the u17 200m indoor 
. Unfortunately, in the finals, Callum had to pull up due to a hamstring injury. Fingers crossed Callum recovers well,such a brilliant achievement so far this year with his times and so very proud of your performance
