A huge thank you and well done to everyone who ran, supported and volunteered at the Colwyn Bay AC Arthur Bebbington 3k fun run and 10k race featuring the North Wales 10k championships. A fantastic day all round in the sunshine 
The race was hosted by Colwyn Bay AC led by the top notch organisation of Russ and Vicky, and ‘chief of Marshalls’ Sheelagh. The race is also sponsored by Grand Prix Express and Jones Brothers civil engineering Ltd. Massive thanks to the vast crew of volunteers and marshall’s who helped with the race set up and manned the route from Llandudno to Colwyn Bay ensuring a safe passage for all our runners 
In the morning’s 3k fun run, the first runner home was Elliot of Menai T&F closely followed by Ifan as first Colwyn Bay athlete home. Jona and Evan were second and third boys back for the club. The girls had a battle on their hands with Enya and Isla crossing the line with the same time, followed by Florence and then Freya and Olivia also matching each other’s time. Great runs from all our young athletes, 3k is quite a distance! 
The 10k race set off from Llandudno at 1pm, with 13 club athletes taking part. A cracking run from Josh brought him home in a huge PB of 39.59, first Colwyn Bay AC athlete across the finish line and earning a gold North Wales 10k U20 championship medal 
. Ciara U20 was our first lady home for the club in a time of 43.38 and also picking up a gold U20 North Wales championship medal 
. Casi was our second lady home, smashing her PB with a time of 48.59, gaining a silver North Wales 10k Championship medal for her age group . Chris gained a silver in the V65 age category and Barrie also took bronze in his V70 age group
