Well Done Cari!

This past weekend, Welsh Athletics held their National Indoor Championships for Seinors and the U15 age group.

Cari travelled all the way down to Cardiff  to represent the club in the 60m's and 200m's.

On the Saturday Cari took part in the 60m's and comfortably got through to the final, in the final Cari just missed out on a Medal placing 4th in a very high quality race where the winner set a new Championship Best. 

On the Sunday Cari took part in the 200m, trying the event inddors for the very first time. In the heats Cari comfortably won the Heat in a time of 28.82s where she then progressed to the Semi Finals and setting the 3rd fastest qualifying time whilst winning her Semi-final and comfortably qualifying for the final. In the Final Cari was up against a high quality field where 1 of the finalists had set a new Championship best in her Semi-final. Cari ran a fantastic and well timed race and managed to grab herself a Bronze Medal, with the winner setting another Championship best time. Each race Cari had in the 200m's she improved her time and clocked an impressive 27.94s.
